March 2022 – Present- Architected and constructed our import processor front-to-back, which has handled millions of records from our users.
- Overhauled our open-source Laravel Custom Fields package to be fully extendable for a seamless developer experience. Also built the entire front-end implementation in React.
- Took responsibility for coding conventions. Moved the team towards patterns that made testing a priority, resulting in less bugs and higher code coverage.
- Recognized for performing thorough code reviews that always pushed developers to improve without nitpicking. Often stepped into other code reviews and unblocked teammates that got stuck in the weeds.
Full-Stack Engineer
January 2021 – March 2022The first full-time engineer hired on the team.
- Built a real-time, digital, event system that was critical to our success in the COVID era. Included live streaming features and ticket check-ins via QR scanning.
- Rapidly developed an advanced filtering system in coordination with our front-end team to meet a strict deadline. The system is still heavily used with no post-launch refactoring required.
- Operated as a lynchpin between the product and support teams by breaking down complex features into plain language and helping resolve issues.

October 2018 – January 2021Software Engineer II
Charged with developing a new digital marketing SaaS platform as a small startup during a company transition from agency work. Responsibilities were focused on large feature development and bug fixing when necessary.
- Optimized and redesigned large MySQL stored procedures, resulting in speed increases of nearly 300%.
- Proposed and led a transition from TFS version control to Git that reclaimed 15% of total working hours for all developers including the company president, who is the lead engineer.
- Spearheaded CRM feature development using RESTful APIs with AJAX and cron jobs that quickly handled CSV contact imports with hundreds of thousands of rows.
- Refactored highly-coupled non-DRY code that consumed countless hours from developers and abstracted them into extensible classes and functions. Simultaneously encouraged a team culture of clean code that has since taken hold.

Responsible for the internal CMS and the e-commerce platform while working remotely full-time.
- Overhauled the e-commerce platform including a database redesign and a revitalized cart system using AJAX requests. Also utilized the browser session and database to implement a persistent cart for the user.
- Built an internal CMS from the ground up, which provided an upgraded interface for employees to be more efficient.
- Upgraded our asset packaging system with Webpack resulting in a reduction of total resource load by 62%.
